Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl in Grand Haven changes hours with end of holiday season

GRAND HAVEN, MI – Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl in Grand Haven made enough snow to stay open for the holiday season.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, the holiday season will be over and its hours will be switching.  Mulligan’s Hollow will be open 4-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Since being open on Dec. 6, Mulligan’s Hollow has been averaging 300 visitors per day with its five ski hills and free mini-shred park.

“It’s been a good season, we’ve made a lot of snow this year,” said Ben Shanafelt, director of Mulligan’s Hollow.

A “big enough to play hockey (on)” ice rink recently opened on New Year’s Day.  Mulligan’s Hollow does not provide skate rentals, but the rink is free to use and open 24 hours a day, seven days per week.

Mulligan’s Hollow has terrain on every hill, tow ropes, ski and snow boarding lessons and leagues, an outdoor fire pit and a lodge with a concession stand and seating with a view of the main hill.

On Thursday and Friday, lift tickets can be purchased for $12; on Saturday and Sunday, they cost $16. To schedule lessons, call 616-566-0127 or email gmeyer011@gmail.com.
